Trevor Steyn was born in the former District Six in Cape Town and has lived and worked in many parts of South Africa. He Holds a Theology and BA Hons and also has qualifications in conflict and dispute resolution.

Throughout his career he has been involved in many successful Community organisations and his passion and drive remains community development and people empowerment.

A founding director of Thabani Investment Holdings, Trevor has also served on, amongst others, the Deciduous Fruit Board, The Community Law Centre at the University of the Western Cape and the Co-operative Development Centre.
