Thabani Wines is a young company based in the Cape winelands with a soon-to-be-built boutique blending cellar in KwaZulu-Natal. It operates throughout Africa, aiming to use the continent's viticultural expertise to place wines of taste and superior quality on the world market. Hence the name Thabani - Nguni for 'joyful'.

Sourced from quality vineyards in the historic Cape winelands, Thabani offers wines of distinctive flavour that stand with the best from the estates of the Old and New worlds, but add something different – a taste of ancient  dynasties.

The Future
Sourcing the right grapes is merely the beginning of the process that will put sophisticated African wines on the world's tables. Making those wines requires expertise, knowledge, patience, creativity. Experience, too, and a legacy that can be passed from generation to generation. Part of Thabani's commitment to the global wine industry is to excite African pupils and students into careers as oenologists and viticulturalists. In recent years Thabani's enthusiasm has increased four-fold the number of black BSc viticulture / oenology graduates in South Africa.
